WiFEC School (WiFECS)

    WiFECS's mission

Our mission is to provide free online courses in order to help students better their understanding and communication skills in a foreign language. We aim at strengthening their grammar, pronunciation and enhance their vocabulary in order to give them a chance at a better future and higher education.
We organize weekly lessons with groups of around 15 students, divided according to their levels and needs. We also prepare small groups of “Racers” for national and university entry exams. Our pedagogical programmes are personalized and constantly evolving with the students’ progress.
A student with the ability to speak a foreign language has the possibility to apply for scholarships, study abroad and travel more easily if he has the means and will.
Our goal is to show the students their full potential and push their motivation to its maximum. We wish for them to aim as high and far as they can in life and offer them the glue and feathers to their wings so they can learn to fly and set off to the most brilliant path they can create for themselves.

WiFEC Library

    Objectives

Thanks to passionate and various people sharing the same human values, WiFEC is working on its principal goal : developing children’s curiosity through education. We deeply think that education can make a difference in life and that drives us in reaching rural children in Vietnam. Recognising the reality that these children don’t have the same opportunities and chance than others around the world, we stand for equal education in Vietnam. WiFEC wants to counterbalance a low educational wherewithal. Building a local library will help children develop their reading taste and skills and help enhance their culture, knowledge and intellectual background.

    Action

If you wish to donate books, please contact one of our members. We are looking for:
    • Stories for (young) children in both local and foreign languages, English and French mainly.
    • Books on developing soft skills, leadership skills and stress management are also welcomed.
    • Encyclopaedias, dictionaries, etc.
    • Games in order to reflect in a foreign language.

    1. We are seeking a local representative. Thanks to them, we’d be able to identify the needs and build our bookshelf.
    2. The second step is the never-ending process of collecting books. This social and human experience is accessible to all who know someone with books to donate. Neighbours, family, friends, social media contacts… the list is long and we are calling out for everyone’s creativity!.
    3. Donated books are then shipped to designated places. We want to minimize costs (and carbon footprint) and ask acquainted friends/neighbors/donors to take the books with them during their travels to Vietnam.
    4. Finally, the books reach their destination and are in the hands of our local representative, in charge of organizing and managing the bookshelf. Children are then welcome to help themselves and enjoy our project!
