Sex education is a crucial component in the holistic development of children and adolescents. At WiFEC, our sex education classes are designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to understand and protect themselves. We are committed to helping students comprehend the physiological changes during puberty, as well as relationship dynamics and self-protection skills in today’s world.

To provide students aged 8 to 15 with essential knowledge about reproductive health, sexual abuse prevention, and relationship awareness. We offer clear and useful information to help students recognize and address sexual issues appropriately.

Class Information:

For students aged 8 – 10 years:

• Class Size: 7-10 students/class
• Duration: 60-90 minutes/session
• Format: Online (includes individual and group interactive activities)

For students aged 11 – 15 years:

• Class Size: 5-7 students/class
• Duration: 60-90 minutes/session

According to research by Hương Nguyễn and colleagues, published in Societies, Vietnam’s adolescent pregnancy rate is higher than many Western countries, and particularly the US. The primary reasons include a lack of education on menstrual cycles, reproduction, contraceptive methods, and issues like sexual abuse and pre-marital sex.

With the rapid growth of social media, children easily access sensitive content or misinformation about sex. Lack of accurate knowledge can lead to serious consequences, including unintended pregnancies, discrimination, stress, and disrupted education.

WiFEC’s sex education class aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge to confidently navigate puberty, apply appropriate preventative measures, and understand sexually transmitted infections. The class also helps students develop a proper awareness of themselves and their relationships.

Ms. Mai Le and Ms. Trang Le, members of WiFEC’s Board of Directors, will guide the students through the class. Ms. Mai Le, founder of “Together with Your Child,” is dedicated to building a sex education community. Ms. Trang Le, with extensive experience in education, plays a significant role in enhancing awareness about gender roles and identity.
