Minischool 1

Huong Thuy school

The school is located in an area that is flooded annually, and the residents are primarily farmers with difficult living conditions. Most students do not have computers or smartphones at home for online self-study after school hours (on average, only 1 out of 10 households has one).

A new classroom building was recently constructed, designed to be flood-resistant, as part of a new rural development project funded by the Ha Tinh Provincial People’s Committee in August 2021. Additionally, the remaining classrooms are all standard old single-story rooms.

The school has only received investment in the construction of classrooms and has not been equipped with devices or computers for the students to study. Meanwhile, in other localities, one out of two schools has already been provided with computer labs.

The school has a total of 242 students. Among them:

  • Students from very poor households: 30
  • Students from ethnic minority groups (other than the Kinh ethnicity): 1
  • Orphaned students: 5
  • Students with disabilities: 1
